Today is the day

Two years ago today, I was diagnosed with Leukemia. And although it was tough, we are good now, and enjoying life more than ever before. Today, the 26th of November, I do not focus on what happened in 2009- I focus on something fun, something I have enjoyed my whole life. It is the official start to the holiday season at our house.

Today, we got up and found George. He was in the bathroom, having a bath with Christmas coloured bubbles, and a book! He had also left a note for the kids, asking them to check out videos that Santa sent back with him from the North Pole!

After we had breakfast we headed over to Chinook, to go and see Santa. As soon as we walked into the mall, Danika asked where Landon was. We told her that he was probably at home, not at the mall. Then, as we got closer to Santa- we saw Landon! They were only 2 people in front of us in line. So, the kids had fun playing in the play area while we waited. Landon and Neely went up to see Santa, then another set of kids. Then it was the kids turn in front of us- and for the last 20 minutes, EVERYONE in the line knew that he had a very dirty diaper! Well, then comes our turn and we were told that we had to wait a minute. Upon closer watch- we realized that the kid in front of us, not only had a dirty diaper, but it was a blow out diaper, and poop had gotten on Santa's suit- so we had to wait for them to clean it up!

This is a picture of the picture. It is actually a good picture. They had a stuffed Lightning McQueen, so that got Bryce smiling!

We also got to pick up my Christmas present- and because I helped pick it out, I put it on right away- it is my family ring, and I love it!

Then, we came home and got to our decorating. We are going to do the tree next weekend, so we just put up our other stuff today.

Now, we are getting ready to head out for Dinner with Ryan, Leslie, Taylor and Brooklynn!
