Snow and food

Go ahead, make fun of us, make fun of where we live. BUT, I am proud- look we made it until November 4th before getting snow! Not bad for our city!

To help the kids get into the snowy, cold, winter mood (good not bad!), I made them some pancakes today. I am pretty proud of these. I saw the idea on pinterest, and had to try it! When I saw it on pinterest, they used bacon for the scarf too, but the kids didn't want that. So, this is what they got. Yes, those are mini marshmallows and whipped cream, it is a school day, so they were gone all morning! LOL!
Danika finished her snowman, and thought that I had a new found talent, so she asked for a butterfly. I had already made the pancakes, so all I had were snowmen. So, I easily turned it sideways and used the whipped cream for the body!

I also wanted to share how I did her hair today. Since figuring out how to french braid, I have done it many different ways. But I do like this one!
And, while I am sharing today. The other night, I was going out. So, the rest of the family had left over chili for dinner. Well, Brett heated up all of it, took out some for the kids, and then sat down. I came in the kitchen before leaving and found this...
Yes- the rim at the top WAS how full the bowl was, and yes, he does have bread in his hands too! (he did tell me when I got home that he didn't eat it all! Thankfully!)
