So, I had a challenge to do today, and I did it! Andrea had made these little felt envelope things for her kids. She saw it on pinterest and the idea is that you hang them on their chairs at the table and put notes in there for them. Well, I got this idea that I could make something like that for the car. Our car doesn't have pockets on the back of the seats, so there stuff is everywhere. I thought if I could make them, I would hang them from the bars of our head rests on our seats, and they could put there sunglasses, small toys, and a small book or two in them. But, I wasn't sure how much patience I had for this type of thing. She said that each one takes about an hour.
Well, today, I went to the dollar store this morning and got things that I would need. Then, this afternoon, Brett went out, and Bryce was napping. Danika of course was doing crafty stuff in the kitchen. So, I sat down at the table with her and got ready to do it.
First, I cut the letters out. Then sewed them onto one of the pieces of grey felt. And then, I sewed the other grey piece to the one with the letter. And then sewed the "ribbon" on. I like them! We will just see how long they hold together! (for people that don't know- I did NOT do well in Home Ec in Jr High- and didn't take anything like it in high school. I can do kids crafts- but that is as far as it goes! I think I like the kids crafts better because they never have to be perfect!).
