Hendricks Family: Another busy weekend!

Wow, people are going to think that we can't sit still! We had another really busy weekend!

On Saturday I had my blood work. It was just a bit of blood work because I have another phlebotomy on Thursday. Hopefully it will be the last! We will know on March 5th when I go for my 2 year check up! Then, Brett was in desperate need of jeans. I finally ~~convinced~~ made him go to the mall to get some pants. We walked in and went into Bluenotes. He hit a gold mine. He was only going to get 2 pairs, but we hit a sale, and he loved them all, so we ended up getting 5 pairs and a belt! All for the price we thought we would pay for 2 pairs at the store he usually goes too! Then, that night we had Landon and Neely over so Andrea and Dale could go for a date night! The kids had a blast playing together at night!

On Sunday, Brett had the kids, and I had a girls day! First, I went to the gym to workout with Christie. I loved the class, and we were there early and were able to get on the treadmill before too! Then, after having a quick shower (which was so nice because no one was bugging me!) I met up with Andrea, and we went to a Scentsy open house, and then for lunch and some shopping! We got home at almost 6pm! While I was out enjoying some mom only time, Brett took the kids to see Puss in Boots, and to McDonalds, so they had a good day too! They also helped Brett clean fish stuff (gross)!

I have been bugging Brett for awhile to paint the kitchen (little does he know that is just the ice breaker). He won't let me paint- because he has witnessed how I paint! Well, when we went to bed on Sunday night, I just said "I really want to paint the kitchen" thinking that he would have something to say about that. But, when he opened his mouth he said, "well, lets do it tomorrow". I sort of believed him. But, when we got up sunday, we went to it!

First, I started by getting things off the counters, and washing the walls. We had some grease on the wall behind the oven, and when I cleaned that, I realized how dirty the walls were. So, I washed all of them, top to bottom, not just the marks! That got me going, so I did the cupboards too! Then, we ran to home depot and picked out our paint! When we got home, Brett started his prepping, which included moving our microwave off the counter, and into the "black pantry"(that is what we call the big IKEA wall unit on the one wall in the kitchen, because in the cupboards we have our pantry type stuff!). After that he taped, and started painting.

With doing this, we had to clear off the tops of the cupboards. I had NO IDEA what was up there, it was all put there when we moved in, and I wasn't a part of that! So, I found some things that I have wondered where they are. And some things that we have NEVER used since we got them (gifts I think). So, some things went to the salvation army, and some got cleaned up and found a new home in the kitchen so they are used!

I was on a roll, so I also cleaned out the cupboards in the bathrooms, and did the kids rooms! When I was done. So was Brett- well the first coat! (He did the second after dinner!) When the second coat was done, I cleaned it all up, and put things away. And this morning was able to hang things back on the walls.
