How are we?

We are good!

We went to the kids yearly check ups yesterday, and got a big surprise. Bryce- our little football player, is actually a bean poll! Bryce is only just over 22 pounds, which is the 45th percentile for weight, and he is about 32 inches tall- which puts him around the 75th percentile for height. He is doing good for development, and nothing to worry about with him at all. He was good for the doctor, but when she was done with him, he was ready to come home and eat! We don't know how he can be so small- he eats all the time- like all the time! And we are always saying how heavy he is when carrying him- I guess we can't complain anymore!

Danika did GREAT- after what I have been through and watching her at the doctor, I am sure she will want to be one. She is about 36 pounds and 40 inches tall- still in the higher percentiles for her, but she always has been. She is also still way ahead on the developmental scale too. Last year the doctor heard a bit of a heart murmur- which I guess is normal for that age, but she doesn't hear it now, which is GREAT. Danika did wonderful and let the doctor check her out completely- and watched with great concentration what she was doing- it was actually funny to watch, it was like she was in job training!

The one thing that our doctor told us for both kids is that people in general don't get enough vitamin D- so we have 2 choices, either put them outside in the sun for 15 minutes a day without sunscreen (yep I typed that right- without sunscreen)- or give them the vitamin D drops in their juice. I told her with everything that has gone on with me (she is my doctor too, and a great one) that I would be getting them the drops- there is no way they are going outside with out sunscreen- ever! So we have to do that, and get Danika some kids vitamins, just so we can be sure she is getting everything she should. She is a good eater- but has her days. And- I have to admit that some days we have healthier foods around here- but not always.

I am doing good too- doing more and more around the house, and getting bossier! That is how Brett knows I am feeling better. I get my line out today (which I am a bit nervous about, but know it will be fine), and have my MRI tomorrow- then I think that is all for tests for awhile.

Brett is doing good, working hard, keeping up with housework which is nice. And busy growing his tank- one day I will share pictures of it- I am just not the one who takes those pictures! I think with me doing so well, some of his stresses are starting to melt away.

My mom is coming to visit for 2 weeks. She is staying with my brother this time- but will be over here lots too. She is bringing her dog, and we have a no dog policy in our house- so they will stay over there. We are hoping to get out and maybe get to the zoo etc while she is here. We are also having a BBQ with some of her friends, who have been family friends for years- some we never see really since she moved out to BC- so it will be nice to see them.

Oh- and Saturday will be my 100 day "birth"day. It will be 100 days since my transplant!!! I never imagined to be doing this good already- but I am and it is all thanks to everyone who has been sending their thoughts and prayers- so thank you all. And again, a HUGE thanks to my brother for donating his stem cells and saving my life- Love you Ryan!
