As many people know, I am organized. I make list, I plan things way before I have to plan them, I organize things- I am a self diagnosed OCD. But right now, I feel unorganized and it is driving me crazy.
Yesterday I organized the toys- which Brett says makes more work for him- because I have toys in bins together with like toys- not just random stuff thrown in bins, so he has to actually put things in the right bin. Danika is VERY good at this- once she knows where the bin is, she is right on everyone too!
Today I plan to organize the books and movies. All of this to help get the house ready for Bryce's birthday party on the weekend. Which is really what this is about.
I can't do much around the house, and really nothing outside the house. So I have to get Brett to do the outside stuff- and some of the house stuff. But he is a procrastinator. It comes in handy for him, but can drive me crazy when I know stuff has to get done. I am doing what I can to get ready for the party, and that includes sympathizing with him because I know all the stuff that still needs to get done for Saturday, and most of it will come Friday night/Saturday morning- and I wont be able to help.
But I am feeling a bit unorganized. With Danika's first birthday we had decorations bought months before, we had everything planned out. We don't even have decorations bought. Thankfully we had a great friend offer to make the cake for us, and Sharon and Holly helped find some stuff for the favors- but now we have to do the rest, which includes getting the rest of the favor stuff, getting the food- bought and made, getting and putting up the decorations, as well as trying to figure out where to put everyone who is coming! And unfortunately, I can not help with most of this- so it all comes down to Brett. Brett has to do all of this this week, along with take the kids for their immunizations, go to a work meeting, and take the truck in for its yearly check-up.
Please wish him luck! I am having nightmares already!
(and people wonder why I make lists, and plan so far in advance)
