Although it was tough, the kids went to the zoo yesterday without us- first time ever! It was hard for me to just let them go- since that is our spot. But I can't go yet, so why not get a break, and let them go enjoy the weather. It was a beautiful day for the zoo, and they had a blast with Oma, Papa, Auntie Lindsay, Bob, and Matthew. They left the house just before 11, and didn't get back until around 5 something. They had a blast, and apparently were well behaved.
While they were gone, Brett got some much needed work time, and I had a quiet afternoon getting a few things done that I have been meaning to do (mainly for Danika's party). It was pretty quiet around here- which we aren't used to- but it was nice!
Sometimes we all need a break!
