Hello there everyone! Just thought I would give an update on what is going on around here. Brett has finished priming and painting the basement, so the carpet will be going in this weekend. Then the major work starts. Brett is hoping to get the fish tank from upstairs down this weekend, and knock out the stub walls. We are hoping to have the stub walls out and patched up this weekend, so we can paint soon upstairs. That all has to be done so we can put the hardwood (laminant) in around the 15th. We have our fingers crossed that it will be done for our open house on the 30th with our families. Things have got moved around alot- since we had planned to be done everything in the middle of November originally.
Only 24 days until Christmas. We are sort of ready. Brett still has some shopping to do (for me). But everyone else is bought for and wrapped. We have some christmas stuff up, no tree yet though- after the floors go in. We go out to White Rock this weekend for 'christmas' with my mom. We can't wait for that.
I am going to step foot for the first time in a maternity clothing store this weekend. I have heard good and bad things about those places. I am very picky with clothes- as my mother will tell you! So hopefully I can find a couple of pairs of pants that I like. I don't really fit in anything I own anymore- except for sweatpants, a pair of cords, and a pair of tan pants. But with Christmas coming I figure I should have something nice to wear. So I figured I should just buy a pair of those lovely maternity pants instead of wasting my money on the next size of regular pants, just to outgrow those in a couple weeks (or months). So wish me luck.
