Baby Update

We just got back from out Doctors Appointment and I thought I would just write a quick note in here explaining what happened. Well they were very late- but what else do you expect at a doctors office! They gave us lots of info to read over- which is great- and they told Brett that he needs to read it too! They checked me out and I am perfectly healthy, which is good! Brett wanted his blood pressure checked too and he is fine! So that is good! They checked the baby out and we need to go for an ultrasound to check for more than one baby. The doctor couldn't say for sure what size my uterus was- so she said we need to have an ultrasound to check for more than one! So that will be soon- they have to book it for us- so we will let everyone know when that is. Then for an absolutely wonderful early Christmas present we got to hear the heartbeat! First we heard mine- I was a little worried because it was so loud- I was wondering how something so small could make such a loud noise- then the doctor told us that was my heartbeat- what a relief! Then she found the heartbeat of the baby- but then the baby moved before we could tell that it was the babies- so she had to find it again- two more times! We finally heard it! It was amazing, and weird! I always knew I was pregnant- but that made it so real! It was great!
The doctors told us that we can go for our 18 week ultrasound the week of Feb 15- and at that one we will find out the sex of the baby (or babies)!

In other news- Brett had finished taking out the floor, and has started painting the main floor- fingers crossed that it is all done in time!
