Hello Everyone!
We know, blogging sucks- but we figure (well okay I do) that this is a very easy way to keep everyone updated on the happenings in our life, so no one is forgotten (not like we would forget any of you), but just incase. We all know that Brett doesn't have a memory, and with the pregnancy, I am starting to have no memory. So please bare with us if we tell you the same story over and over again.
So as of today (november 27th 2006), we have (by we I mean Brett when refering to renos, since I am no longer any help) finished mudding and taping and sanding and priming the basement- for those of you that have our photo site address- check out pictures there- if you don't have the address, but would like it- please email me. Brett has done such a good job on everything- who knew he had it in him! Just for an update- the upstairs (bedrooms) is almost done- it needs a second coat of black on the trim around the doors, the hardwood has to go in, and the baseboards need to get up. The main floor- well the kitchen is half done- and as of this weekend- some Christmas stuff is up. The 3rd level (dayhome area) most of the walls are painted- so we just have to finish painting and put the hardwood and new baseboards in (and do the bathroom). Brett is working his tail off- he still hasn't had time to go Christmas shopping!
In other news- as of Thursday November 23rd, we are 6 weeks along in our first pregnancy! We are both so excited, and we apologize to everyone who was woken up on the 11th with the phone calls. We were going to wait- but couldn't! We have thought of four names, and have decided to try not to find out if it will be a boy or a girl. (This may be the hardest thing I will ever do in my life, but we are going to try). If the baby is a boy, his name will be Luke Michael. If the baby is a girl her name will be Arianna Grace. The other names we have picked out (just incase we have twins) are Alex, for a girl, and Zack for a boy. The baby's room is coming along- we have done it up in Finding Nemo stuff, with white furniture (have a look at the photo site for pictures). We have another appointment with my family doctor on December 7th- right before we get on the plane- hopefully she isn't to late. And then we have an appointment with the doctor who will be delivering the baby on December 20th- so hopefully we can hear the heartbeat then- what a nice Christmas present that would be! We will keep you all posted on what happens. So far the only things I am really feeling are the tiredness (I go to bed at about 8:30 every night), and 'morning' sickness- which comes around supper time- if I have a pickle though I am okay (most times), and also I am soooo hungry- I keep telling Brett that unfortunately the baby got his eating ability! Brett has never seen me eat so much. I have only craved 3 things so far- all of them not good for me- Regular lays chips, A&W and chinese food (my parents are cringing right now). The one thing that I can not stand is chocolate- I can't even stand to look at it. And last night, while trying to eat a chicken ball- I discovered that I no longer eat chicken either! I didn't think all of these things would start right away- but I guess we will learn!
We are off next week to visit mom and Auntie Donna in White Rock- they just received a whole bunch of snow- so hopefully that is gone before we get there! We are going out there to celebrate Christmas with them, and Ryan and Taylor are coming along. It will be Taylors first flight, so hopefully she is okay- she will only be 4 and a half months then- we have our fingers crossed, thankfully it is a short flight! We don't have much planned while we are out there, so hopefully we can just have a fun and relaxing time.
It is Stupid cold here today (as one popular radio announcer would say). I laughed when mom told me how much snow they got- but I would rather have just the snow, then it be accompanied with -40 in the wind. I think that is CRAZY! But we usually have one really, really, really cold week in the winter- so hopefully this is it. Although I work from home, and don't HAVE to go outside, I still feel for everyone who does!
