Growing up

I can't believe it. I remember when I was pregnant with Danika, everyone told me to take lots of pictures, and make memories because you blink and they have grown up. Well, tomorrow is Danika's last day of preschool. She is almost 5, and will start kindergarten in September. It is hard for me to believe, it does feel like just yesterday she was in my belly! I can remember like it was yesterday her smiling for the first time, sitting on her own, crawling, walking, talking etc. All her firsts seem like they just happened! And, soon we are going to add another first- starting real school! Wow- time flies when you are having fun!

Yesterday we took the teachers gifts to them at her preschool. Andrea and I made a "card" type thing from the whole class. We found it on pinterest, and got the rest of the families involved. It was great- and one of her teachers even got teary eyed! We also gave them their gifts, got some pictures of the kids with them, and told them how much we will miss them! I also told Danika's teacher that I hoped she was still the 4 year old class teacher when Bryce is there, because she is amazing! Bryce will be starting preschool in September too, but in the 3 year old class with a different teacher. (That makes me kind of sad too, but I know it will be good for him, and he really wants to go!)

While we were there, the teachers were handing out their "gifts" to the kids for the end of school. They gave them some candy, bubbles and also a memory book that they made from songs, crafts, and pictures from through out the year. This was mainly for the parents- and it did make me cry, they did such a great job. We got to see things that they had done from the year, not only in crafts, but the teachers had taken pictures of them doing these things too! They also had class pictures, and a graduation picture! There were two pages that really made me tear up....

My kids are growing up! And I am loving every minute of it! Watching them grow and learn is the best feeling ever!

I took them to the doctor for their check ups a couple weeks ago, and Bryce is in the 97th percentile for height at 40 and 3/4 inches and in the 50th percentile for weight at 32 pounds. And Danika is tall and skinny too- she is in the 90th percentile for height at 44.5 inches and also the 50th percentile for weight at 43.6 pounds!
