Hendricks Family: Light the night raffle- updated June 18th- all pictures are in!

Hello Everyone

This year, to help us raise money for the light the night walk, we have decided to do a raffle. I have been collecting donations for this raffle (and if you would like to donate something, please let me know- I am trying to have all the donations in ASAP! Thanks). I thought I would also send out the information on how the raffle is going to work. (Please feel free to pass on this email to your friends and family as well! Thanks).

I will be posting the items that are going to be in the raffle here on the blog (pictures will be up soon). You can look at all the items that will be "up for grabs"! The raffle tickets will be sold from now, until July 15th. Once the tickets are purchased, I will be drawing names for the items! The draw will be held the week of August 7th.

Q: How do you get a raffle ticket?

A: Well, you can send me an email, text, comment on the blog etc. Letting me know how many raffle tickets you will be purchasing. To purchase the raffle tickets, you must go to this link...http://my.e2rm.com/personalPage.aspx?SID=3252232&langPref=en-CA and make a donation (on the left side there is a button that says "sponsor me"- you can go there to do it!). Once the donation is visible (please put your name- not anonymous), I will put your raffle tickets in our bucket.

Q: How much are raffle tickets?

A: The raffle tickets are 1 for $5, 5 for $20, 15 for $50 or 25 tickets for $100 (any donation over $100 will be given bonus raffle tickets!)

Q: If I buy more than 1 raffle ticket, do my chances increase?

A: YES! Your name will be in the bucket for as many tickets as you buy. If you win one item- that is only one ticket taken out- you would still have the rest of your tickets to win other prizes. (say you bought 5 tickets and your name was drawn for a prize- you still have 4 more chance!)

Q: How is the drawing done?

A: We will have all the prizes set out. Then, we will draw one name at a time, for the prizes that are out. So, say I have a hoodie first, we would draw the name, if it is yours, you win the hoodie. Then we move on. And NO, you do not have to be here (we can take pictures), but if you would like to, we will let you know which night we are drawing names!

Q: I don't live in Calgary, can I still buy tickets?

A: YES. I have many items that are not specific to Calgary. If your name does get pulled for one of the items that is for here, I will put it back in and draw another name- you will not lose that ticket! And, the items that you win, I will pay to ship to you!

Q: What are the items that I could win?

A: I still have some donations coming in, hopefully they will all be in soon! But for now, here is the list!

~ 1 hour photo session

~ 1 hour massage

~ $75 in gift cards from M&M Meats

~ 4 passes for Calaway Park

~ A Chinook Centre gift pack- 2 movie passes, a $25 gift card to the mall, and 1 pound of coffee

~ A gift bag from Green Gate Garden centre- this includes various items that they have put together for us

~ Light the night products- water bottles, hoodies, stuffed animals, gym bags

~ A Velata fondue set (Velata is a product of scentsy- so it is a safe fondue set- you can check out the website!)

~ A paraffin wax home set

~ A leather steering wheel cover

And as I said, more are still coming in. (Please keep in mind that most of these items have a value of over $50!)

1) send me a message and let me know the number of tickets you wish to purchase

3) wait for your message to let you know what you won (sometime the week of August 6- this is to give people time to purchase their raffle tickets)

4) I will deliver what you won!

Oh, and BONUS- for the FIRST person who donates $100- you will get your 25 raffle tickets, AND, I have had someone let me know that their donation will be to the first person to donate $100- they will also donate $100 IN YOUR NAME- so you will end up with a $200 tax receipt for your 2012 taxes!

If I am remembering correctly, we raised over $3000 last year. What can we do for this year?
