First off, on Friday May 25th, my baby sister Holly graduated from High School! It was a great day, filled with smiles, tears, laughs and memories. We all admitted that it was a very hard, and very amazing day. I will say, that although we were all proud and happy to be there, watching her cross that stage, I was also sad, and angry. My wonderful Step mom Sharon should have been there. She should have been able to see her only child cross that stage. I shed a few tears thinking of how proud she would have been. I was angry because Cancer is a HORRIBLE thing, it has caused too many tears in this family! But, I do know 100% that she was watching down on all of us, and especially Holly! I know that she is proud of the woman that my baby sister has become! We all are!
It was a beautiful day, the ceremony was great. The speeches were meaningful, and seeing my sister walk across that stage sent shivers down my spine! I can't believe she is all grown up! I love her for everything she is, everything she has become, and everything she will be! Watching her grow has been amazing!
I had the honour to join them for the dinner and dance after the ceremonies. When the ceremony was over, we went back to their house so they could get ready. Then we headed downtown to the dinner. The whole time sharing some great stories! We had a great dinner, listened to some great toasts, and watched as they played some funny, and cute pictures! Listening to some of the toasts brought tears to our eyes and smiles to our faces. To top off the great day, we watched as my dad and my sister had their dance to celebrate Holly's successes. And then, as her and Alex had their dance. After that, Dad, Kat and I left them to enjoy the rest of their night!
Congratulations again "Shoppy" Holly! We are so proud of you. We love you so much!

And then there was today. The most important man in my life had a great accomplishment that made me so proud of him. Brett participated and finished his first ever Marathon. He was part of the Scotiabank Calgary Marathon. And he did GREAT! He finished in just over 4 hours! He has been running forever, but has never done anything like this. His day started at 4:30am when his alarm went off and he headed out for the marathon. The race started at 7am, and we joined him later. We took the train down (the first time Bryce has been on the train), and got to the finish line with about 10 minutes! We watched him proudly as he came around the corner, and ran through the finish line, collecting his medal!
Great Job Babe! I love you!!!!
