New Hair

Well, I did it! I took the time out on Saturday, and went to get my hair done. It has been awhile. By awhile, I mean a LONG while.

I have gotten my hair done since I have been sick. Last summer when I was in BC visiting my mom, she got me an appointment with her hair dresser, and I got it done. But, since then, I haven't done anything with it. So, yes, you are reading that correctly, in over 2 years (well probably close to 3), I have had my hair done TWO times!

So, yesterday was the two year mark, my 2nd birthday as we all call it. So on the weekend, I decided that it was time to bite the bullet and go get my hair done. I had many suggestions of where to go. I talked to a few people and looked around. In the end, I decided on a small salon in our community. And boy, I am glad I found that place. To be honest, I was looking for something small, something that might not be too busy, because I hate explaining the whole story, and having others listening in. I was going to get my hair done, because I feel like a normal person again, finally, and the only thing that was bothering me was my hair. It is so thin, and weird, I just needed to find the right person to fix it!

I went in, and explained the situation. I explained what I wanted the outcome to be- basically, something that is VERY easy to deal with, can be left (because some mornings I just don't have time), and I do want to grow it out again, so when it is growing out, I don't want it to be a mullet.

I am so shocked with what she came up with! I didn't even think of this option. I love it. It took longer than I thought, because, well I also let her dye it.

But, this is what my hair transition has been over the last 2 (well just over) years...

This was almost 3 years ago, with Little baby Bryce!

Then while I was sick- pretty much 2 years ago

And 6 months after my transplant at the light the night walk- September 2010

Disneyland, pretty much 1 year after my transplant

Then when my mom got me my hair cut- summer 2011

This was a few weeks ago- Danika was taking pictures

And now- this just shows the dye job- with highlights

And this is basically what it looks like, except, my hair has decided that it doesn't want to be bangs, so they never stay there!
