Family Sunday

Yesterday seemed Really busy, really rushed, and really, like we didn't do much! So, Brett decided last night that we were going to do something today. When I asked what- he first said Go to chuck-E-Cheese! I laughed. It was nice yesterday, but snowed before we went to bed last night. So, I was pretty sure that chuck-e-cheese would be very busy, and the last time we were there it drove us crazy (and this was before I even got sick!). So, then he asked if there were any movies the kids would like to see. I remembered the Lorax came out. So we decided to take the kids!

I got up this morning and ran to the gym. I worked out for just over and hour and then came home so Brett could go for a run. While I was at the gym, my amazing husband cleaned the house- like including the bathroom!! So, when he went for a run, I made chili in the slow cooker. The kids and I made chocolate pudding for dessert tonight (with cookie crumbs on the top), and then we got ready to go.

The movie was great. Very cute, and funny! We all enjoyed it! Bryce did fall asleep for about 15 minutes, but he still liked the movie! When we got home, The kids and Brett played while I made garlic buns to go with our chili! They are very easy to make, I was so surprised, and they smell so good! I can't wait to try them!

This is all you need:

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

And the recipe is here! And we can't wait to eat them with our chili!

Tomorrow is the beginning of another busy week! I have my bone density test and my 2 year check up. Then, Andrea and I are building Easter baskets for the kids- hopefully they watch their movie and leave us alone!

I can't believe Tuesday will mean that it is only 2 weeks until Brett and I take our first holiday without the kids!
