Great weekend

With no plans this weekend, we were able to just do something, anything. And with us, honestly, that barely happens! Friday night I had arranged to pick Danika up some clothes off kijiji, we got that done, and stopped at Dairy Queen for a treat! Today, we took the kids to the pet store, something we do often, they love it! Then we had to stop at Wal-mart, and IKEA. It was great! Now the kids are having a picnic Dinner while watching Cars, after they are in bed, Brett and I are going to have a Date Night- Nacho dinner, and hockey game! (one the Flames should win- it is against Edmonton!)

I am in a great mood with this weekend. As boring as this may seem to others, I accomplished some things this weekend that I am proud of, and thought I would share! Last nights clothing deal was GREAT! I went to two houses, and in total I spend only $40. She has clothes for this summer, fall, winter, next spring and maybe summer too! I got 6 pant and shirt outfits for next fall/winter/Spring. I got 2 pant/shirt outfits for this spring/summer, 3 skort/shirt outfits for summer, 6 dresses, and a few other odds and ends! They are all size 4 and 5- YAY!

Then today, I got Brett to go to Wal-mart and IKEA- BIG accomplishment for him! HAHA! We got sunglasses for our trip to Disneyland, plus I got a hat! Yes- more weird excitement, but my head was never a "hat head". May sound odd- but really. I have seen many I want, then tried them on and thought- no way! Well, this one I love! And looks good! We also looked at a patio table at Ikea, and found one we LOVE! We just have a bit of work to do in the yard before buying that though!

These weekends are great! Odds and ends get done, and we enjoy some relaxed time with the family!

Here is a picture of Brett and I - we haven't done that in awhile. The other one is Danika putting on her bathing suit by herself. She left her dress on, and this was the outcome! (Oh, yes she is standing on her craft table. I asked her to stand by her table so I could take a picture, and this is what I got!)
