Busy weekend, and start to preschool

The title says it all. We had another great and busy weekend, and then on Monday, Bryce started his preschool class.

Friday was my birthday, and my Dad and his girlfriend, Kat offered to watch the kids so we could go out to dinner and a movie. In the afternoon, the kids and I made cupcakes for my birthday. They did the decorating all by themselves. Since I was going out for dinner, we saved them for the kids to share with Dad and Kat. They had to make a special one for my dad, they both had to do it- so it was half purple and half blue!

Brett and I had a great dinner at Pheonix Grill, and then went and saw "The Words". It was a good movie. There was really nothing out, so we just went with that one, and weren't disappointed!

On Saturday, we had Brett's company BBQ. They always do a survivor meets Amazing Race type thing- to get people together, and it always works! This year there were 4 teams, and we all had a great time. Then we had a BBQ, and they started the firepit that was at the park to make smores. It was a long day, but great fun! The weather was beautiful- so it was perfect. They also got a spot in the park that was right next to the playground, so that helped too!

Our friends Curtis and Davina came in from Regina to make it to the BBQ (and brought their kids). So, after the BBQ, we all headed back to our other friends- Rick and Anita's house for some fun of our own. The kids played and watched some movies, while we had some drinks and talked! It was fun, and before we knew it, it was almost 2am! So, we all headed to bed! (Thankfully, we had planned ahead, and decided to just spend the night up at their house!).

The next morning, we all got up, and Rick had made us all Waffles, eggs and bacon! So we ate breakfast and then we were all heading our separate ways- Davina and Curtis back to Regina, and us home! Once we were home, Brett had to work, so I took the kids to do a couple errands, and then home to paint their book shelves, and do a few other things!

Monday marked Bryce's entry into the "school" era of his life! He started a class at the Trico centre. He goes every Monday for 2 hours. It is a beginning Preschool class. And yesterday, he had a GREAT time- he couldn't stop talking about it. He was telling us that he "went on an adventure"- they got to go to do gym time, they painted, they played with "pluto" (which is play dough!). They also had music time and got to play the maracas! He was very happy, but very tired when he was done! He had a great sleep last night!

We are looking forward to another busy week, and weekend! (Looking at the calendar- I realized that we are busy until after Thanksgiving!)
