We saw a bear sleeping right at the fence, but also scratching his head. The groundhogs were digging, eating and even made their squealing noise for us. We saw the hippo's be called to lunch- they actually ring a bell, and they get out of the water right away and go up where the lunch is! We watched the flamingo's be baffled by the airplanes, looking up every time. We saw some gorgeous butterflies- they are starting to come out of their cocoons. And, when I started talking to the Blue Macaw, it made a noise and danced. So, I asked if he was dancing. He did it again, and again and again. Then, when I asked him, he said "no" and shook his head! He did that a couple times and then went back to dancing when I asked him! Try it next time you are at the zoo! (they have 2, not sure if the other one does it, but give it a try!).
And then of course came April. I can't believe it is here already. This month we are doing Bryce's birthday party, and also we will be leaving for Jamaica. I have a ton to do this month, and seem to not be stressed about getting it all done, I am actually being lazy and not even starting! Of course, there is Easter as well, we have a busy weekend ahead (I will post about that when it is done!) full of family, friends and fun!
Here are the pictures of the kids for April 1. (I took them today!)
Here is Danika at 4 years 9 months. She tells us all the time about the shops she is going to open when she is older. A Restaurant, a clothing store, even a pet store. One day last week, we had to run to the mall. It was nice out, and the kids wanted to park in the tunnel (the parkade), so, we walked around the mall a bit. The windows of sears had big lingerie ads- Danika very loudly said, "I am going to have those when I am older"- I looked up, seeing the woman in the bra and almost died! Then she continued explaining that she is going to sell people clothes! Thankfully she wasn't talking about the boobs! (but, I wouldn't put it past her!)
Bryce, he is now 2 years and 11 months. He is having his 3rd birthday party at the end of the month, and is very excited about it. Every time someone mentions a birthday, he talks about it. All he wants for his birthday is a race car cake. So, I will try my best! He has already started the 3 year old attitude, I still remember this from when Danika went through it. He also thinks he is the "class clown" and is always acting silly! He has taken an interest in more sports now- like soccer. We found a ball at the park the other night and were kicking it around. He was very good, but didn't really understand why everyone was taking it from him!
