When mommy isn't looking, this happens in our house.
They call it "rides", I call it a ticket to the ER! But, they love it. And, they will do anything to get to do rides. It has become such a bribary tool around our house, it is CRAZY! As soon as our working day is over, both kids are asking Brett to do rides. It has become something they do after dinner. Why- well because that way they eat their dinner, don't fight while I am cooking it, and just generally behave from after work until after dinner. They know that if they don't eat, if they fight etc then they can't do rides. This is now the only reason that I allow it- because it brings me peace at the end of the day! They are on their best behaviour while I am cooking. There are hardly and issues at dinner, and then after dinner, they are busy playing with Brett- basically until it is time to get ready for bed!
Here are a few more pictures of what happens...then a video (if I can get it uploaded!)
And no- they never get dropped or fall out!
I also wanted to share this. My little girl is so grown up. I remember in the winter last year, Andrea and I visited the preschool that Danika and Landon are going to attend in the fall. We visited the 4 year old class, because that is the class they will be in. We remember thinking that those kids looked so grown up, and that we thought our kids would never look that grown up. But, she does. I put her in an outfit today, and did her hair, turned around and WOW! I have noticed it a couple times lately, just with the things she does, or how her hair is. But today, it just hit me. In 3 weeks she will be going to school! We have to take a recent picture to her orientation for their get to know me wall. So, I have been trying to get some pictures to choose from. Now, I have to pick which one! These are the pictures of my big girl!!! (the last one she was being a monster! And she has been into posing with things lately- our dog, her fake cat, etc)
And while I am sharing- this was our morning today. The kids were playing outside. It was cloudy and cool, so they were really enjoying it! (Ignore the mess of a yard, we have to do some yard work this weekend, and also will be taking out the "grass" as soon as we can!)
