This morning I woke up, I think before the crack of dawn thanks to a beautiful little girl. I didn't even have to look outside to know there is no way I am leaving the house today.
Getting up, getting a warm tea and curling up on the couch with Danika, still in our PJs was so nice. Eventually I heard Bryce in his room playing nicely. I thought to myself, "time to actually get this day started". I went upstairs to get Bryce ready for the day, then had another thought.
I grabbed Bryce, and a diaper, no clothes. Came downstairs and changed his diaper, putting his PJs back on. Danika asked where their clothes were, I told her, "from now on, Sundays are PJ days. We will stay in our PJs all day and be at home doing things". She seemed fine with this idea too.
As I went about my normal morning routine, empty the dishwasher, start breakfast etc. I started thinking more about it more. We have been looking for ways to save money- by being home all day on Sundays, we won't spend money. And to make sure of that, I will also make Sunday slow cooker day. So while Brett is doing his normal Sunday thing of making "rolling things" (crepes), I will throw dinner in the slow cooker, so we don't get lazy through the day and order in. Then we have the whole day to do what ever we want, or need to do in the house, and don't have to worry about dinner! This will also help when spring hits and we have to take care of the back yard. It will give us the time to do it (we usually go out and "forget"!)
So, that is my Sunday thought, and will be the only one for the day! Sunday is PJ/family/stay home/slow cooker day!
