Sibling rivalry

I knew sibling rivalry started young, I mean, it has been around our house since Bryce arrived- or even before. But, sibling rivalry actually made me proud the other day.

Danika has always liked to color, and do crafts, but she has never drawn anything. Well that changed on Wednesday. I was doing a craft with them, on writing their names. I wrote their names at the top of the paper, in the middle their names were drawn out with dots, for them to "connect", and at the bottom was empty space for them to try themselves. Well, it turned into drawing. So, I suggested they draw themselves.

Danika did her picture. It made me so proud because she actually drew people (and a sun). I asked her who the people were. She explained, "Daddy, Me, Mommy, Dexi, Gabby, our nother one cat, and my baby sister". (she has been on this baby sister thing for about a year!). I asked where Brycie was?! She looked right at me and said...

"He isn't there, I threw him out"

I almost fell on the floor! This picture will be framed and be with us forever, her first time drawing her family, and such a great story to go with it.
