I should know that kids need routine. Kids like to know what is coming up, and what they are going to do next. I know without this, it is CHAOS! I know that things get crazy, people get grumpy, and the list goes on and on.
Well for the past- how ever many months, there has been said chaos in our house. Today, well today was the last straw for me.
Brett is trying to get some work done, and stressing over different things. Bryce's semi-predictable schedule was interupted a few times, with Brett having to pick me up at the doctor, basically right after he dropped me off. So his later nap was earlier, and he didn't sleep long etc. Danika- well- she needs the routine more than any of us. She hasn't napped in forever- probably like a year. But after today, well things are changing around here- for the sanity of all of us.
Tomorrow, our new routine will start. Bryce's morning begins when Bretts does- usually around 9ish- yep that is how late they sleep. He lays and talks to himself in his crib and plays for a bit before they get up at 9, but he likes that. Then he has a nap around 11am until about 12:30- so that will be the same. Danika- when she gets up will be having breakfast, then she can play, and when Bryce has a nap- it will be outside time. At 12:30 we will be having lunch and Danika will be going down for a nap- or at least a rest time. The afternoon will be more up in the air depending on how both of them sleep. Dinner will be around 5/5:30 again- just like it used to be, and then we will start our bedtime routine at 6:45- like we used too.
Tomorrow is a brand new day. Tomorrow will bring some routine, organization and sanity! (and yes, I do keep repeating this to myself to convince myself it will work- I just can't handle all the tantrums and screaming anymore- and you can guess who those are coming from!)
