Thankful

I just wanted to say how thankful I am for everything I have.

I was just reading a blog online, which was passed onto me from a friend. This blog was about a baby- born at the end of March, who was due in May. She was in the NICU right after birth- and her mom- who was on bedrest for 8 weeks before couldn't see her for the first day. The next day when the mom felt well enough to get up and go see her little girl, she got up- told everyone that she felt dizzy- and within minutes had died. Turned out she had a blood clot in her brain that she didn't know about. So the dad is now a new father and a widower- all within 27 hours!

It really made me think about all the things that I have, that are sort of overlooked. Things that I wouldn't have if it weren't for Brett- or other family members. There are many of these things.

But it really made me think about how GREAT my life is. We have times where things get crazy, stressful, and hard. But we are a team and we get through them together. I could not imagine doing any of this with out Brett by my side.

I am really thankful that we have Danika. For all the things that could have gone wrong, everything went so perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better delivery, recovery and daughter!

When you read something like that- and realize that it is happening. It is someone else's life- and they are living it RIGHT NOW- it is almost mind numbing. I feel bad for this family, but happy that the dad is doing such a great job, and that he has had so many people helping him out. I know that if we ever needed help, there would be many offering.
