"Happy" Fathers Day

Why is Happy in quotes you may ask--- well because Brett had to fly to Washington DC on his first Fathers day. He really didn't want to go- but he is gone- and should be landing in DC right now. Danika and I dropped him off at the airport at noon today- we went in and had lunch and he met his boss and co-worker there at 1. So we said good-bye and away they went to get on the plane. They will be on the plane for just over 7 hours- they are flying to Dallas first. I think it is due to them deciding last minute to go there.

So we celebrated Fathers day yesterday- Brett wanted to go to some of his favorite fish stores, and then for Peters for lunch- then we went out to visit his parents and have dinner. It was a good day- but we knew what was coming on the actual Father's day.

I got Brett a couples hot stone massage. He needs a massage really bad- and just wont go- so it is paid for, and I will drag him in there with me. After this one- he will be addicted- I know it. Then we will be going for lunch, and then to see a movie. My step mom has graciously offered to watch Danika for the day! He also got a picture frame/album from us- with pictures of him and Danika in it for his desk. And Danika made him a frame with a picture of the two of them in it.

In some other GOOD news- today it is 25 days until Danika turns 1!!! I really can't believe it! And it is 50 days until we all go to Disneyland!

Danika and I left the airport and went to my dad and step moms house. We had a great afternoon with them- Danika was the dinner time entertainment- she taught grandpa how to talk baby talk! She finally started to ware out around 8- so we were on our way home. She is in bed- and I am waiting for Brett to call and say he is there- and then I am off to bed too! Tuesday night can not come fast enough!
