5, 7 or more, or less??? That is now the question!

Well, well- another doctors appointment has come and gone. But now things are more up in the air. I will be 33 weeks pregnant tomorrow (wednesday May 30)- which if we were going to 40 weeks would leave us only 7 weeks! But... because of the appointment before the last one, where they told us about the placenta- and the 99% chance of having a c-section at around 38 weeks- we would only have 5 weeks left! But the new news at the last doctors appointment was that I was measuring 35 weeks- when I was 32- so that is 3 weeks ahead of schedule. My body is gaining the weight needed for childbirth- they call it storing water, blood, and starting to produce the milk- I call it getting fat fast! My doctor told me not to worry- this could be a good thing. I have to really watch what I do, and watch my blood pressure (which is perfect)- because Danika could be ready before the rest of us. They have asked for head measurements, weight, and lung development for when I go to my ultrasound next wednesday to check on the placenta. That way they will know how ready she is- or if she is just big.

What does this mean- well... next week at my ultrasound I will be 34 weeks- if I am measuring 3 weeks ahead that means that I would be measuring 37 weeks- which is a great time for a c-section- if the baby is ready. If she is big enough, and her lungs have matured- then they will watch me for signs that I can't take anymore- back pain, leg strain etc. And they will monitor me closely to make sure I don't go into labour- because that wouldn't be safe with the placenta. So the mid July baby- may be a mid June baby- so as we sit right now- we could have a baby within 2-3 weeks, or up to 7-9 weeks (only if the placenta has moved). So things are starting to take shape around here- especially the freaking out that it could be very soon- We are so excited about that though! The ultrasound is next wednesday- the appointment with the doctor is Thursday- so hopefully by June 7th we will know what is going on! Wish us luck!

In other news.... We have finished picking exterior colors for the new house- don't ask what they are- I think one was called clay- if that means anything to anyone. We have an appointment to pick out our cabinets next wednesday, plumbing stuff on Friday, Appliances on Saturday- then we do interior design stuff- colors, counters, floors etc. on the 14th. Then it all goes in for approval- we get our new # depending on the upgrades we choose, and then they can start to dig once everything is approved! We can't wait- they started digging this house while we were on our honeymoon- so we are pretty sure they will start digging this one while we are in the hospital- or recovering! Brett has been working his butt off- so if we have been MIA for awhile- we apologize. He had to work the weekend- then pulled a 5am-10pm shift yesterday, and is doing 5am-4pm tonight at work, then the church, and then working from home. This is a busy week for them- and I feel sorry for them all- but things will calm down for him- just in time for Danika to get here- I am wondering if this is practice for all the sleepless nights he is going to have!
