The doctor!

Well what a day to have a doctors appointment! Brett and I left the house at 7:30ish for a 8:45 appointment. Well due to the weather and the roads we were not even at heritage by 9. We did finally get to the hospital at 9:20. They were really good- they knew there would be people that would be late.
So when we got there, they took my blood pressure and weight, and got me into a room right away. The nurse today, was much nicer than the one on the phone the other day. The doctor took a couple of minutes to come in- which is normal- but seems like forever when you are running late for the day! He explained that he had to do an internal exam to feel the cyst and see if it felt normal or not. Then we would talk about the cyst. So while I changed he went and checked in on another patient. Brett and I sat there forever, mainly wondering how much longer we would be there- I had to be back at home by 11- and had to drop him at work. The doctor finally came back in. He told us that we might as well check the baby's heartbeat- just because. Brett and I laughed at him. He kind of wondered why- so we let him know that no one has been able to find it yet, and that is what caused all of this. He told us he would find it. So after about 30 seconds to a minute he took the doppler off- and told us that he has an ultrasound machine, so he can cheat! So once again we got to see the baby. It is getting so big, the doctor has a smaller screen- but we could still tell he has gotten a lot bigger in the last month. So while the doctor had the ultrasound machine on- he took a quick look at the cyst, and even said then that it looks normal. After that he did the internal. He told us it looks/feels normal. I was able to get dressed again, then the doctor came back to talk about it. He told us that the baby is fine, and the baby is probably holding it back where it is. He doesn't think that it will grow, or cause problems- but he still needs to watch it. Thankfully. He did let us know though, that where the baby is located, is not where babies should be. Because of the cyst. There is no risk to the baby with this, but they will have to watch the baby, to see if it will be able to move into the right position for birth. But he told us that there is a large possibility that we will have to have a c-section. We are okay with this, I have looked into many things regarding this. But he said I could get a two- for- they would get the baby out and then take the cysts out (if they had too). And hospitals usually don't do two-fors!
So the good news is that they are just watching them- no surgery for now (but he can't make any promises about the future). And the baby is doing really good.
So that was our appointment- I go back again on March 15th to go over the ultrasound pictures with him. And then I will probably have to have monthly ultrasounds and appointments to watch it.

All in all very very good news. Other than the roads were horrible, and I had just made it back to the house on time!
