Family hiking trip

Today, we decided to take the kids up to Kananaskis to a place we went, stayed and hiked in 2006-- just before becoming pregnant with Danika. We took a lunch, ate on a ridge overlooking the mountains and the valley- it was beautiful!

Then, we went onto the trails, and hiked to the creek. At the creek, we stopped to have a snack, put our feet in, and throw some rocks in the water.

Unfortunately, it was up hill on the way back. But, there was pretty much no complaining. The kids were so well behaved, had so much fun, and it was all around a great day.

When we were sitting at the creek, a song came into my head, and stayed- well, it is still their now...The Zach Brown Band's song, Life is Good Today. And it was- we had our toes in the water, ass in the sand, not a worry in the world, (but no cold beer in our hands)- life was good today. No, life was great today.
