Last week, mom, Auntie Donna and I went to Vegas. It was the first time going somewhere without the kids, I thought it would be harder than that- but we talked every night, so it was fine!
Tuesday, Andrea was kind enough to pick me up at 5am to get to the airport. It was an early morning, and I am so thankful to her for doing this, then we didn't have to wake up the kids!
I arrived in Vegas at 10am- and mom and Auntie Donna didn't land until 1. So, I had lunch, and read my book. It was actually nice to just sit and relax for a bit!
We then checked into our hotel- the Luxor, and as fast as we checked in- well probably faster, we were out again. We headed to the strip for some vegas fun!
We were only there until Friday, which was definitely long enough. We managed to get some shopping in at the outlets, ride the gondola, see a show- Vegas the show- which was AMAZING. We saw fremont street- which was pretty gross! Cool show, but I couldn't stay there long. We had some great food, played some fun slots, had a good laugh at people (they need to make a people of Vegas site- like people of Wal-mart!).
After being there for 3 days, I was very surprised that we only lost Auntie Donna once. We were starting to get very worried. We finally found her at the other side of the casino in New York New York!
I must say, that was a ton of walking, a ton of fun, I had a great time. But, I think that will be my last time there. It is pretty expensive, and a place that I couldn't go with Brett- so many things that drive him crazy! We need a relaxing holiday now!
A BIG thank you to mom and Auntie Donna for my birthday trip to Vegas!
