First on Friday, Brett and I took back our space! Now that the kids like to play in their rooms, or each others rooms, we could move some toys out of the living room! So, we did some purging, selling, and moving of toys. And then set our plan in motion! Friday night, I went to IKEA to get some smaller shelves, like the ones we had- so we still had room for some toys! Then, after the kids went to bed, we moved things around...
Starting on the stairs/fish tank wall- we moved the couch, and put the chair next to the fish tank. Then added one of the toy shelves.
Then- on the shared wall, we took out the big shelf, and moved the couch there. Also adding one of the small shelves in the corner, and the lamp in the actual corner (in between the two shelves).
On the window wall, we moved the tv away from that wall, and really did nothing, other than fix the picture layout.
The wall that has the closet in it, now has the tv against it. We added some shelves above the tv, for the xbox and some other things. We put the tv back on our old tv stand, so the kids movies are in the drawers.
Then, on Sunday we had a BBQ for Danika's birthday. It was a great day. We did it at my dads, had some fun in the back yard- bubbles, chalk, family, fun! It was great. The weather was nice, the food was great! We all enjoyed ourselves, and Danika loved the attention! Thanks to our family who came out for her special day! And a big Thank you to my dad and step mom for hosting, and doing dinner!!!
