Summer holiday

We all need a break sometimes!

So, me and the kids flew out to see mom last week. We had a great time, kept busy, even thought the weather wasn't that great. While we were having fun, Brett was... well having fun too, he got to do some bachelor living, which he did admit isn't as fun anymore!

We started our holiday by being told our flight was canceled and after dealing with some other issues with the flight, got to Vancouver, finally. We stopped by moms to put our bags away, get changed and then headed to the beach. We had lunch, walked the beach, had some ice cream, and then went back to the house to get ready for dinner at Chicken bobs (which isn't called that anymore, but is still fun!). They have live jazz music every thursday, so we go, like a tradition when we are there. The kids love it.

Friday we headed to Stanley park. We did the aquarium, the train, and tried the park. That was a long day. Saturday we did some shopping, visited Uncle Ken, then got ready and had a BBQ at a friend of mom and Auntie Donna's so we could visit with everyone. Sunday, well it was rainy, so we took the sky train and sea bus to the Quay- mainly just to give the kids something neat to do. We had lunch, walked around and had fun! Then we watched movies!

Monday was not a nice day again, so we went to have lunch with Auntie Donna. Tuesday we did some more shopping, and got a new stroller- we were hoping to get to the beach, but it was too cold! We did walk down to one of moms friends places, where the kids did some belly dancing with her mom!

Wednesday we finally made it to the beach. It was kind of cold, but not as bad as it had been. The kids had a blast. We did too, well except at the end of the day, it was tough to get out of there with two sandy kids! So, thursday we decided to go to the water park. Best choice of all. We all had a blast! I haven't been on water slides in awhile, and it was well worth all the effort! It was a great day, and so much fun, we will be doing that again!

Friday we came home, and enjoyed a nice weekend with daddy again! We had a great time, but it is nice to be home!

I had a slide show made, but the program crashed, so I have to try again! I will post it when I can.

Also, we went to the clinic this morning. Everything is PERFECT. My dr had nothing to tell me, blood work was perfect, my recovery is perfect. She did tell me that I am one of the stories that keeps her in this line of work! Hopefully in the next month, I will only be taking 1 pill a day! I am feeling GREAT!
