And the doctors say...

Things are going great. That is the long story short!

I saw my regular doctor on monday. I went to the hospital and did my blood work. After waiting awhile we finally got to see the doctor. She said my blood work is perfect. After talking about energy levels, how well I am sleeping, what I am doing etc, she told me that she really has nothing to tell me. She is very impressed with where I am at only 5 months post transplant. She did also tell me that next month I will be off another one of my pills, so that is good. And she ended our meeting by telling me that I am one of the stories that keeps her going. She is very impressed. So that was a good meeting! I go back in another month- which is the way it will be for awhile, but that is fine too.

On tuesday I had 2 doctors appointments (most of these ones now are just check ups since the transplant to make sure things in my body are not changing). I started yesterday at the eye doctor. The worst part of that is getting my eyes dilated, it is horrible and blurry after. But, she told me that if she didn't know my past, she wouldn't even guess that I had been sick and went through all of this. My eyes are right where they were before. She also gave me the go ahead to get my contacts again, that is exciting because I hate wearing glasses with the kids, and they broke recently (even more than they were) so I don't have to get new ones, just contacts!

My second appointment for the day was with my neurologist. That went fast. She said she looked over all of my stuff and everything looks great. She also told me that I can stop my seizure meds. So that was good new. I am just taking 2 pills for the next month, then I will be on one! YAY! She also did say now that I am not taking the pill, that I need to wait 6 months to a year from now to drive, just in case! She did say that she doesn't think anything will be happening, but just to be safe. But if it is an emergency than I can drive.

So, all around good news. Next week I have to go to the dentist to check out my teeth since the transplant, and also the OB/GYN. I am guessing those appointments will go great as well!
