We will be wondering all weekend- wondering what the doctor will tell us on Tuesday.
We had our ultrasound yesterday- and out of the MILLIONS it has seemed like I have had with Bryce and Danika (and before)- this way by far the WORST ever. I am so glad it was the last.
The tech actually hurt me. I never would have thought that an ultrasound would hurt- but it did. She was pushing so hard- not that he was hard to see- he is big. So not sure what she was doing- and she was doing it on my right side- where I had the cyst last time, and right on my c-section scar- WOW- that hurt. I really thought about asking for a new tech.
Anyways- she was also not a very nice lady. She had a grumpy face on the whole time, and would not talk. I was trying to make jokes- because Bryce moves away from wands, dopplers etc. But she wasn't laughing. So I just left it. I did finally ask how big he was- because- well I wanted to know. She said- "he is a bit big for the age he is, he is 6 and a half pounds- but I am still measuring" and that was all.
She also did ask if anyone was with me to see the baby (she saw me with Brett and Danika in the waiting room)- I told her yes- and she went to get them. She showed us Bryces face- and an arm- that was about it. Then she said- "You will hear from your doctor soon" and left the room.
While I was getting ready to leave- I saw on the screen that he is measuring 36 weeks and 6 days (yesterday) so 37 weeks today- which can be considered full term. So I left there wondering if she was recommending to my dr to call me. But he doesn't work again until Tuesday- so no idea how that would work. So- I am still wondering what is going to happen. If my dr will change my c-section date, or just leave it.
We will know more on Tuesday. I fell huge- and done being pregnant. I can barely move, the contractions are killing me. I just can't wait to have answers. At the most right now- I have just under 4 weeks left.
Danika on the other hand has been so cute. She kept coming to me and waving at my belly saying "Hi baby" before the ultrasound. Then she was so excited to see him on the screen. Since then she brings me water- "for baby", and "pets" my belly (her words). She talks to him, tries to share with him- it is just so cute. BUT- I am also wondering if she knows more than she is letting on- she did tell us he was a boy- before we knew, and picked his name. So it is freaking me out that she might know he is trying to come out!
I will update when I get the info from our doctor on Tuesday!
