What a big girl

I am still trying to get over that Danika is a toddler. She learns new things every day and amazes us.

The other day the baby was kicking- so I put her hand on my belly and told her "bryce is saying hi". She felt him and giggled. She kept her hand on there and talked to him for about 10 minutes- it was so cute. I think she is starting to get it more than ever now. She comes up to me multiple times in a day and pulls up my shirt- says "Hi Byce" gives my belly a kiss, a pat and then goes on playing. It is so cute to think that she takes time out of her busy day (playing) to stop and say hi to her brother that she doesn't even know yet!

She is an amazing little girl- she makes me smile and laugh daily.

Brett and I were trying to remember what life was like without her the other day. And then we realized that soon we wont remember what life was like with only her!

She had her 18 month appointment with the doctor last week- and did very well- she was talking up a storm. The doctor said she didn't have to ask how many words she knew- she could hear that she knows many more than average for her age. She said just watching her that she could see that she has excelled in her development (exactly what every first time mom wants to hear!), and that she has noticed that the further ahead in development that children are- the less temper tantrums- to which I laughed and told her to come spend some time at our house! Luckily most of Danika's tantrums are not from frustration from not being able to do something herself- it is from us not letting her do things!

Oh- and yesterday I was able to get her hair in REAL pigtails! I now have my new favorite picture of her! (as soon as she sees a camera she says "cheese" it is too funny!)
(hopefully it works and doesn't cut half off)
