Our long weekend

Our long weekend started quickly-- we left for the airport early friday morning to go see mom. We got there and thought we had enough time for Breakfast- which we quickly found out we did not. We saw the line to check in- then once we got through that- we saw the line to get into security... WOW- Brett had to leave us there- where we went through the doors and saw 7 HUGE lines to get through security. When we left the check in counter- I still had just about an hour to get to our gate- but once through security we had to RUN to our plane!

We got to Abbotsford and went right to the boarder to go down to the US to do some shopping. It was great. I got the kids lots of good things. They should be almost set for the summer- well Bryce is I think! It was a long day- and we were in bed early!

Saturday we went to Stanley park with Danika. We had a great lunch and went to the aquarium- it was so busy that we didn't really see much. Which was too bad- but we got out which was nice. We then went to have dinner at one of moms friends houses- which was great.

Sunday was a quiet day- we went to the off leash dog park- which Danika and Hardy loved. I thought that she would be knocked over- or fall down- because it is on the ocean and is sand. But she didn't go down once! She had a blast! She didn't stop squealing! Then we went back to moms and had a visit with Uncle Ken and Mitchell! I really didn't feel good on Sunday- so we stayed close to the house. Even actually had dinner there.

Monday we had big plans to go out shopping and get some lunch at the beach- BUT- both mom and I were sick- so we stayed in, and sat on the couch. Danika and Hardy played, and were really good. We finally got dressed at 3- and packed. Then we were on our way to the airport at 5. We ate a bit at the airport, and then we went through another busy security- then we walked the terminal because it was past Danika's bed time. She did not sleep on the plane- but fell asleep after we touch ground in calgary! (well until I got off the plane and put her in her stroller!) We were 40 minutes late there because they had to wait for a second fuel truck in Abbotsford- what a pain!

All and all it was a good weekend. I wish I could have visited more people- but getting sick, and being so busy- it was crazy. I hope to get out longer next time- which may not be until this time next year- since it will be hard with the baby and Danika!
