About to get busier...

Today marks 1 week before Danika's first birthday. I am so excited- and still have so much to do to get ready.

Brett has been great- he got the deck built last week- even after a snag from totem! And we will be putting the sod in this weekend. We wont be able to go on the grass for Danika's party- but at least it will look good!! I planted a little garden last weekend in the front too- Wal-mart had great deals on bushes!

We have Danika's present- and most of the party stuff- I have to go today and get some more, and then my wonderful step mom offered to get the things that we have to get next friday- so we can spend the day with Danika- on her actual birthday!

We have decided to take her swimming on her birthday- she loves swimming, and we figure it will ware her out- so she will have a good nap- since I am sure she probably wont have one on Saturday!

My mom bought her tickets to fly in for Danika's party- I am so happy about that. She wasn't going to come because we will be going to Disneyland with her a couple weeks later- but she got a great deal- so I am more than happy that she will be here!

We are also going to take Danika to the Stampede for the first time next Saturday- after her party. I am not sure if Brett will come, because he hates the stampede- but we will see. So far it will be mom, Danika and I - with my brother, his girlfriend and my niece Taylor! I can't wait to see how the girls like the stampede.

I know I have been neglecting the blog lately- but we have been so busy! I probably wont be back on until after mom leaves (Monday the 14th) to post pictures of Danika's party. Brett and I are on holidays that week, so I should be able to find time!
