It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

The title says it all. We (okay I) decorated the house on Sunday (explanation later), but it just didn't feel right. Brett said it was because it is too early- but he was wrong. It snowed last night, and now it feels right. I hate the snow (okay, the snow is pretty- I hate the cold!), but it does make everything seem more Christmasy. I am getting so excited now. We only have 33 more days to go. I think I am way more excited for Christmas this year (if you can believe that). I think mainly because we have Danika now, and it will be her first Christmas- if you have seen the pictures, she is on Santa's nice list! And also, this year we will actually get a Christmas. Last years Christmas was horrible, we are very happy things turned out perfectly- but are looking forward to a hospital free Christmas.

I am happy to say we are done Christmas shopping, and the cards are ready to be sent. The house is decorated, I think we are pretty much ready- so the craziness can begin! Why did I decorate and get things done so early? Well other than I am Christmas Crazy, we have a busy 5 weeks ahead of us. Really- last weekend was the weekend to do it all. I was using the excuse that we will have to take everything down right after Christmas to pack it, but after I looked at our schedule, I realized that is why I did it.

Why are we so busy? I don't know how these things happen. This weekend we decided to have some friends over for a holiday get together. Some of them haven't even met Danika yet- so that will be fun. Then Sunday is going to be a big cleaning day. Then on the first weekend of December we are dog sitting (and hot tub sitting) at my dads house, and on the Sunday my mom comes in from Vancouver. So it will be a week of Christmas fun with Grandma. The weekend that my mom is here we have Bretts work Christmas party, a Christmas dinner with mom and Family, and my dads Christmas party. So far you are all thinking we are crazy right? There is more. The weekend after that we are doing some Cookie Decorating with my sister. Then the week before Christmas we have an appointment, picking out blinds for the new house, and Hollys band concert- all on the same day. So far the weekend before Christmas we are free- so if anyone wants to see us before Christmas nows your chance! Thankfully Brett and I are both off from the 21st until the 2nd of January- so we will have time to recover!

So now you see why I had to decorate this past weekend! (Excuses, Excuses I know!)
