Time flies

Wow- time does fly- when you are having fun, or not getting any sleep- which ever you choose!
Danika will be 4 weeks old tomorrow- anyone believe it? I can't, and I have lived it daily. It is amazing to see her grow. She is developing a personality- thankfully it is like her fathers, and includes eating and sleeping! She is very entertaining- and loves to be the center of attention. In her four weeks here, she has met many people. She has been to a wedding, had a shower, been to a couple BBQs as well as her cousins 1st birthday, and her Auntie Hollys 13th birthday! This past weekend she had her first trip to the zoo! She slept most of the way threw it- but woke up to see a baby tiger at the end- now we have to see if tigers will turn out to be her favorite animal! Danika and I have a ton of fun every day- we usually sleep in, go for a walk, eat, play and nap (she does, I still haven't figured that out!). We have gone downtown to meet Daddy for lunch too- which is always fun.
Danika had her 2 week appt and had gained all her weight back. She has an appt tomorrow, so we will see how much more she gained!

In other news- Brett has started doing baseboards, we have to get the third level back in order so I can have some interviews to go back to work. He is doing a really good job on those- I am very impressed. All we have left for renos is the baseboards, 2nd coat on some of the black, paint the downstairs bathroom, and touch ups. But when that is done we have to clean out the basement. We are open to offers on people who want to do that for us! HEHE!!!

I have recovered nicely- I felt fine after a couple of days. It was nice having mom here, she stayed for 2 weeks. She did laundry, cleaned the house and helped up get into a routine with Danika. Man we miss her- the house cleaning just doesn't get done as well when she isn't here! I have also decided to go back to work October 1st. I know people are asking why so soon- but I don't get maternity leave, and I am used to chasing 6 toddlers around- to go from that to one new born- anyone would be bored. I can't spend time at the mall like some other maternity leave moms I know- because- well I hate the mall- and since I don't get maternity leave we are on a minimal budget! So that is my plan!

Well Brett is finally home- so off to cook super!
