Danikas shower

What a great shower! I need to Thank my step mom and sister for hosting such a wonderful shower. It was a lot of fun, we ate some food, opened some gifts and played some great games. We started off by playing the guess the belly size game- and believe it or not we had a four way tie- and they all got it right on! Right now- my belly is 52 inches- yep you read right! It is crazy! We played a bingo game while I opened gifts- which I thought was genius- it kept everyone involved and no one got bored watching me open gifts. We also played a game where everyone took an envelope- they had 45 seconds to open it and draw what was written on the cards in there. Then I had to judge- everyone was impressed with their drawings- but... I had to judge who opened their envelope the neatest! It was too funny! We played guess the baby food- I didn't do to well at that one- but it was fun! We ate some great food- which I am craving again right now! Danika got spoilt with gifts- some clothes for when she is a bit older, gift certificates, some picture frames, toys, a bumbo and tray (love those things), and Granny made her bed stuff. I am loving all the work that Granny put into the bedding. We were over their friday night after picking her up at the airport- she gave us the comforter, crib sheet, pillow, diaper organizer, another organizer, bumper pads, and curtains. At the shower, she gave us more crib sheets, another comforter, another pillow, as well as 2 bibs that she cross stitched- they are so amazing we don't' want to use them- may just hang them on the wall. And she gave us the most amazing blanket- she cross stitched all the Finding Nemo characters into this blanket- I love it! I want to continuously thank her for all the work she did for us- it means the world!
Sharon also made a diaper cake- those things are too cute- I thought I wouldn't get one because we are doing cloth (well except for when we go out). But there it was on the table- on top of the softest pink blanket (fleecy one side, satin the other).

I am still on cloud nine with all the great stuff and wonderful shower- I am hoping I am not forgetting anything- but probably am- but I will just say it was wonderful! I am thankful to everyone who came! It was so nice!

Brett is in the process of finishing the renos in our house- so we did that this weekend too! He is doing a great job! It actually looks really good just plain not green- who woulda thought!

30 more days and counting until she is here! We can't wait!
