Wednesday- what a day! Took me 3 hours to drop brett at work and get to beddington for the ultrasound. Thankfully they got me in right away- since we had an appt with the cabinet people for the new house at 1. So I was into the ultrasound at 11:30, and out by 12. Danika fully cooperated- all though would not turn her head so I could see her pretty face- but that is okay! She is still 100% girl! She weighs about 5.5 pounds and everything on her looks perfect! The cyst is gone- the tech couldn't find it at all- so that was good. And then she told me that the placenta had moved (which they told me before- and lied, because they can't legally tell you), but was still by her head- so that tells me- it is still low! So I got out of there feeling really good. We picked our cabinet stuff and kept ourselves busy to make the day go by faster to get to thursday!
We went to the doctors appt Thursday. Got in and did all the regular stuff while we waited for the receptionist to get ahold of the ultrasound place to get the results. The beddington place was supposed to send the results to Dr. Birch ASAP- but obviously didn't! So We did the regular stuff- and waited. Finally he came back in and asked me if he could call because the ultrasound people were on lunch and he couldn't get ahold of them. I know that he doesn't work Fridays or weekends, so I knew that it would be next week. I had said yes- but then quickly asked if we could just schedule the c-section. I told him that they told me the placenta was still by her head (to which he said it is still low lying then), and that we don't want to take any risks. He said that was no problem- and got his appt book. He came back in the room and said how about the 11th of July. We agreed, and went with him to sign some papers giving our consent. He then called over to the hospital and basically ordered a pizza- he told them he wanted a c-section booked for the 11th, gave my info, and then told us it would be at high noon. It was pretty funny actually. He gave us a sheet for a class we have to take all about c-sections, they will also do all of our paper work, and lab tests then so we are ready to go- still have to call and set that up. And we made an appt with him for next week to go over any questions etc that we have. It was exciting, but nerve raking- because now we know! Time to stress now!
As we walked to the car- I said to Brett- "well it isn't 7-7-7 but it is 7-11-7" Then we both realized our daughter will be born on 7-11! That is why I am craving slurpees!
I will update as we go, but if you can think of any questions we should ask him, please call or email us! Thanks!
Wish us luck- we now have a deadline for renos etc!
Oh and first shower this sunday- can't wait! Pictures will be on the photo site next week, and I will update how it went on here!
Happy weekend everyone!
