Happy December everyone!
I thought I would do a quick update, while I can!
So far, we have had a good, but busy start to this month! Of course, I was all ready for Christmas, present wise. We got our tree and decorations up, so I wrapped the gifts and have them under the tree. Some how, the kids are both leaving the tree and presents alone! Danika picks up a gift every so often and asks who it is for. Which the reply is either her or Bryce- either one gets her excited! Bryce looks at it all, but hasn't really bothered it- which I find odd! Now we sit back and enjoy all of the festivities of the season!
We have already seen Santa, and got to decorate some cookies there. We are planning on seeing zoo lights, probably this weekend, we will see what the weather is going to be. We are going to Grandma and Grandpa's to decorate Christmas cookies. Danika and I are going to see the children's Christmas play- which is a version of the Little Mermaid. We also have Brett's companies Christmas party, and of course getting together with Family and Friends.
Things around the house are going good. Brett has been working hard on a few things. His work, of course, but also his fish tank- as always! And he has also taken up running again. He has been doing it since September, and looks amazing- if I do say so myself! He goes about once every second day. He is very motivated- but still eats my snacks when I am not looking!
I am doing great- all though this time of year has been a bit crazy for us in the past, it is still my favorite time of year! I had my monthly appointment at the end of November, and they cleared me to come back in the New Year, as everything is still going better than expected. So, right now, I am enjoying the things I like to do at this time of year, bake, do crafts with the kids, and play along with their imaginations, and excitement of the season!
Danika is doing good. She is just getting over having a bladder infection. It was horrible! It was her first time with medication, which she is doing fine with. I just can't believe we made it to almost 3.5 years before she needed any medications! She also finished up her library reading class, and has one more of her play and craft class. In January she will start a gym and swim class, which I am excited for, I am hoping it will bring some more Independence, as they have to go from their gym part of the class, right into the pool- with only help of the teachers. So, we shall see. Danika also finished her Dance class. They had a little recital at the end, and they all did great, which was very surprising- if you had seen them at the end of September, you would have never thought this possible! She is very excited for Christmas, I think this is the first year she is actually getting it all!
Bryce is doing good too! He is learning more words each day, of course his favorite is still "Go Guys!". We brought up his lack of words with the dr, and of course, then he started talking! He is also pretty good at showing us what he wants if he doesn't know how to say it! And just in time for Christmas- he learned how to say "cookie"! He got to go see Santa too, he didn't cry, but still wasn't sure! Luckily Danika was nice enough to tell Santa that she wants Zhu Zhu Pets and Bryce wants cars! Bryce also got moved into his toddler bed. It is a race car, he wasn't sure at first, but after one nap in it, he has been fine! He usually stays in his bed, or goes right to the door when he is up, I thought he would be taking everything out of his drawers!
We hope you are all having a magical December, and that Christmas is wonderful!
