A quick update

I thought I would write a quick update on what we have been doing so far this September.

Brett is working very hard, so we have been trying to stay out of his way as much as possible. He is also working hard on finishing his new fish tank. He built and painted the stand, with some help from the kids. He is now waiting for it to cycle through so he can move the stuff from the old tank into the new one!

Danika has been busy getting ready for "school". She got to take Matthew to his first day of school, so now she is all about school. She has been practicing her letters on an iPad app that I have, she tries to do most things herself, and then tells us that the teachers will help her if she needs help at school, it is so funny! She is starting "school", but it is a gym and craft class at the local leisure center, it is one day a week, and only for just over an hour. So not quite school, but we will see how it goes.

Bryce has been busy adjusting to life as a. Toddler. A toddler who doesn't walk or talk. He points to thing, grunts, gives us looks etc to. Get his point across. If we don't get right to it he hits, bites, whatever it takes. He has started getting time-out, which he does understand somehow. He is also a big momma suck, which is fine to a point, but when I am trying to get things done, like make dinner, it is hard. He is also so much of a suck, that again the hitting and biting come back when Danika wants my attention. He is also a bit of a chicken. So we are trying to get him used to new things. Which may not be working in our favor. At an indoor playground, I was teaching him how to climb on some of the foam mats, and blocks. Well, now he climbs EVERYTHING! We catch him climbing the kids chairs, onto there art table, or the couch. He even moved the chair over to the pantry to try and reach the handle! He is a very curious boy!

I am doing great. I go back to the dr on monday, and I am hoping to be off another medication, and hoping that she will let me go for three months until my next visit. I do a lot m ore now, including lifting and carrying both kids, cleaning the house, doing laundry, basically taking care of everything that needs to be with the house and kids/family!

So far this month has been busy, and it is only getting busier. We have gone swimming, gone to the zoo, hosted an anniversary dinner for Bretts parents. Danika and I have also ventured out on many walks together, and even went to walmart twice, we took two buses and the train to get there! We also got to take Danika to see a live performance of Yo Gabba Gabba. She had a blast, and I will update on that as soon as I figure out how to post pictures etc from my iPad!

Oh, and with this iPad talk, Brett treated me for my 30th birthday, and my 6 month anniversary from my transplant, to a new toy. My iPad. I love it, but have to figure out how to do a few things still!
