6 months ago, at this time, I was laying in my bed, trying to eat breakfast, and wondering what the rest of my day would be like. I was week, I was worried.
6 months ago today, I had my stem cell transplant. My brother had donated his stem cells a week before- on the same day that my precious niece was born.
6 months ago today, the nurses entered my room, and told me they were ready. On nurse handed me a candy to suck on. I didn't know what to do, so I sucked on it- and soon after gave it to Brett to throw out.
6 months ago today, they started the transplant. It seemed fine at first, but quickly got uncomfortable, and weird. I had a horrible taste in my mouth, and my mom and Brett said it stayed in the room too!
6 months ago today, my life changed. It changed in a way I never saw coming. It changed for the better. I got my life back, plus more.
6 months ago today, my brother meant more to me than he EVER has in his whole life. I love him so much for what he did for me. I also love how close it brought us. And how he changed his life for the better as well.
6 months ago today, my kids started to get their mommy back, my husband started to get his wife back, and my parents got their daughter back.
6 months ago today, I didn't think I would ever be back to where I am now, but thanks to much help and support from friends and family near and far, I am.
6 months ago today, and 6 months from that day- I have VERY much to be thankful for.
