The kids had a great Halloween. They had a play date in the morning- with lots of friends and treats. Then after a quick nap in the truck, and lunch we went trick or treating at the mall. Danika LOVED that! On the way home- the sugar high started. She had 2 chocolate bars (treat sized), and a few licks of a sucker (that she doesn't normally get- but it was a special occasion!).
She started talking non stop- a mile a minute- it was too funny. She was even laughing at herself!
Bryce loved his costume- he especially liked his hat- so much that he barely had it on his head- he had to look at it and hold it!
When we got home we got ready to hand out our treats! The neighbours across the street had a great display of different Halloween things, and sound effects. So much that Danika wouldn't let me shut the door! She really enjoyed watching them. She also enjoyed handing out the candy to the bigger kids. She kept saying "More friends are coming, okay mommy!"
We didn't get many kids- but it was a fun day anyways! Bryce was in bed a bit early after the long day. BUT Danika's sugar high didn't end until 10:30pm! Then first thing this morning- she had to check her treat bag!
As I took down the Halloween stuff today (because I had some energy from my surgery, so I was cleaning and organizing), I had to explain that Halloween will be back next year!
Here are some pics of my little monkeys...

And them jumping on the bed

And just because- a quick update on me. I went in for my gall bladder surgery last week. All went well. I was in for one night- just because we didn't get in on time for the surgery. It was a horrible night, because I had to sleep on a stretcher! It was not fun. Tuesday, I was up and ready to go home before Brett arrived to pick me up with the kids. We were out of there as fast as we could be. I am recovering nicely- but can't be back to 100% normal for about 4-6 weeks. I can't even really lift anything over 10 pounds- although I do lift Bryce sometimes. But don't carry him far- I can't NOT lift my baby! I have 4 holes in my mid section. I have 2 on my right side- small ones. One in my belly button- about 2 inches long, and one about an inch and a half on my chest. They are healing nicely, they are stitched with disolvible stitches and covered with tape- which I have to take off next week. Good news is- the pain is GONE! And I will be back to normal soon- right now I am just pretty bruised!
