Well- no- it isn't for a couple weeks- 2 exactly. BUT... next weekend we are having her party, then on her birthday mom, auntie donna and I are taking her to the stampede- GIRLS day!
But- for her birthday Brett and I weren't sure what to get her. We wanted it to be something just for her, something she didn't have to share with the dayhome kids (we were thinking of a playhouse at first)- we finally decided that we were going to redo her room. It was pretty boring- the same color as the rest of the house- the grey/white color- and just had her shelf and bed in it- boring!
So- we bought her a vanity off a used site, and cleaned that up. Got her some toy bins for her shelf, printed some new pictures for her walls, and got some paint. Purple and pink. We put her little mermaid wall stickies back up- because she loves those. But it all looks amazing. Brett stayed up late to get it started, and then got it finished yesterday. I went in this morning and organized, and decorated.
You can't really tell by the pictures- but the wall behind her headboard- the window wall, is purple, and the rest is pink.
Happy Birthday Danika- we can't believe you will be 2!!!
