Kids

Sorry everyone- as a great friend of mine pointed out- I haven't updated my blog.

Things have been going good here- we are very busy- BRYCE CAME HOME!!!

Bryce got released from the hospital last Sunday- May 24th. I was able to spend the night with him at the hospital on the Saturday night- we were in a private room. They do that just in case we have questions. It was a great night. Then Sunday we brought him home. Things became real for us after we picked Danika up from my Dad and Step moms house- and were on our way home- both of the kids in the back seat- sleeping.

At that moment I really realized how complete, and completely happy I am right now. My family is complete- I have my loving wonderful husband, my beautiful little girl, and now my amazing little boy. I am living on cloud nine- although it is a bit crazy.

I am a very organized person- I plan everything, and live by routine (on weekdays anyways)- but right now- things are crazy. The house is unorganized- we have things everywhere they don't belong. The kids are not in a routine- YET (that is coming). And Bryce seems to want to put a kink in all my plans! So- if you are waiting for us to get back to you for something- please give us time- or remind us that we need to get back to you! Please let us know if you would like to visit- we can't wait to show off our little man!

As for Bryce- well we really don't know what happened. Of course we heard PPHN- which is a heart thing. We also heard water on the lungs- but none of those terms came up since he was a week old. He was off everything by last Wednesday- except his feeding tube. They took that out on Friday because they needed him to feed by bottle for 48 hours before going home- and a nurse tube fed him Thursday night- even though he was eating by bottle- so they took it out so they would have no choice but to spend the time. So, it is something we will never really know what happened. But he was released with no conditions- they said he was just like a 2 week old baby at the time. We took that as an answer and brought our little boy home.

Now for the unbelievable news- well to me... Bryce will already be 3 weeks old tomorrow (that hit me when our dr told me that they should have an appt at 1 week, then at 1 month- but she wasn't going to make me come back next week- WOW a month already!). AND- my little girl- well she will be 2 in just over a month- that one is getting to me. And- I am trying to plan her birthday in all this chaos!

I think that is the kids update for now- I am exhausted so please let me know if I forgot something (or you have a question about something).

And also- in some very sad news- we had our cat put down last week. George would have been 9 this September, I got him when he was about 7 weeks old. It was very emotional for me, and Brett (who claims that cat is the reason we got married!LOL). We have noticed that he was losing weight, and no matter what we did, he couldn't gain it back. He was also filling the litter box very quickly. So we decided with everything going on with Bryce- we didn't have time to focus on the sad news of George- so we did it. We miss him like crazy. We love you George! RIP

Here are some pictures of Bryce's first 3 weeks with us...
