I was pretty bummed last week when I went to my doctors appointment and was told that I probably wont get an ultrasound until 18/19 weeks. It just seemed so far away to see our little bean. Right now- I don't feel much- so I really wanted that ultrasound to see. We had one at 9 weeks with Danika. So I just couldn't wait. Then- I was reading the pregnancy calendar that I had when I was pregnant with Danika- I saw that at 14 weeks- I felt her move. That made me excited- that is about 8 weeks away!
We have also decided not to hear the heartbeat until around 14 or so weeks too. We had a big scare with Danika around 11 weeks- they couldn't find her heartbeat with the doppler. We had an emergency ultrasound to make sure that she was okay- she was fine (obviously), then we found out the dopplers are not that reliable! So we are not going to go through that again!
Now- and update on little miss Danika!!!! She is learning new things each day- she says close to 30 words, and the other day started using her spoon to feed herself, and crawled up onto our bed- then crawled down again!!! What a big girl! I still can't believe that in just over 2 weeks she will be 15 months old!!!!
