I remember when the last week in August was nerve racking and exciting. We got to get our school supplies, and new clothes that we couldn't wear until school started- the anticipation was crazy! It was exciting to think that we would be seeing all of our friends again, meeting new people, and starting a new year. We were getting older- getting closer to being done school, and being able to "do what ever we wanted"
Now the last week in August means that summer is coming to an end, winter driving will start soon, so will the Christmas stress.
I look forward to these last 4 months of the year- I really do. I don't look forward to them like I used to- but they are still good. They are better now that we have Danika. I am looking forward to getting her some new clothes, and letting her play in the snow this year. But I am not looking forward to the cold weather.
I am older, I am out of school- and can I do "what ever I want"? Well not always- most of the time- but there are other things that have to be done first.
I would never go back- I love the now- but I do miss the excitement of the back to school rush!
