For anyone who has seen or lifted Danika lately- your questions have been answered. We went to her doctors appointments yesterday. I had guessed that she was 17.5 lbs- and Brett guessed 18.5lbs. To our surprise- she is 19 pounds 3 ounces!!!!! We couldn't believe it- but it does all make sense! Our backs have been killing us! She is also 27 inches long! No wonder she was growing out of her PJs that we just bought her!
The doctor looked at her head again- and still thinks that we should get into the "flat head" clinic, but doesn't think they will get her a helmet. She thinks that her head has gotten a lot better, and the clinic will just give us some more tips on what to do. The doctor mentioned that she thinks what we are doing is working great, so she said to keep doing what we are doing, and all should be well. She did mention that Danika will probably always have a little bit of a flat spot- but it will get better- so we are happy with that- now we just have to wait and see what the clinic says.
I also wanted to say RIP Zoe. On Monday my dad and step mom had to take Zoe (our dog) in to be put down. She had skin cancer- we found out in September, and didn't think she would make Christmas. When she got to Christmas- we all thought it would never happen. But on Monday, both my dad and step mom came home from work and took her in. It still isn't real to me- because I haven't been over to their house- but it will be too real when we get up there again. I just want to say to the three of you- that we think about you daily- and know that Zoe is in a good place now.
19 days until we move into the new house!!! Things are coming together really quickly now- we have our floor, countertop, plumbing, lights, and think they are doing our carpet today and tomorrow.
We will be out of this house before we move into the new house- so there may be some time between posts!
