I know, I know...

It has been awhile- but we have been really busy. I am just waiting for Danika to wake up- so I will give a quick update.

My mom came in to Calgary the first week, and we did Christmas with her and that side of the family. It went really well- I am glad everyone could get together.

We have been trying to pack some things- we move into the new house on February 5th- but have to be out of this one on January 28th- so we have gotten one of those pod things. It will be here for us to load on January 19th- and picked up on the 26th. We will be staying in Strathmore until we move into the new house. Thankfully we have people there who will let us stay- Bretts parents are willing to let all of us- and the cats live there for awhile.

We had our appointment filled day this past tuesday- we checked out the granite for the new house, picked our blinds- which went really well, and got our prescription for the fertility drugs.

Well-- if you didn't know, you do now- we are trying to have another baby. We have been trying for awhile- with no luck, so we went back to the fertility clinic. Yes Danika is only just 5 months old- but we would like them close together. My brother and I were close together- sure we had our fights, but we were also great friends. So, we had the appointment and have our prescription for 3 months of clomid- we are hoping it works as fast this time as it did last time. Next year we may be celebrating another first Christmas!

Today, I had to send all the dayhome kids home, and call Brett home from work. We took Danika to the Children's Hospital. She hadn't eaten anything since last night at 7. In the middle of the night, I thought I heard her spit up- but loudly. I went in and it wasn't really anything. This morning, she wouldn't eat her bottle. She had about 10ml, and then threw it up. She then slept and when she got up I tried to give her her cereal, and some pears- which she normally loves- but she just spit them out. Then as I put her bowl away- she threw up across the kitchen. It was like she was choking- it was horrible. So I got her out of her highchair, called Brett at work to let him know that he had to come home. While he was on his way- I called her dr, who told me to take her to the hospital. we were there for about 4 hours- to find out she has a viral infection, which could last anywhere from 24 hours to 6 days. We have to slowly get her back up to eating normally- not to much to fast, or she will get sick. And also give her pedialite. She loves that stuff. Since she didn't really sleep all afternoon, she is abit off- we are hoping her schedule gets back together. So I am starting my holidays early- even though I am pretty sure it will be more work than work! She is at home and fine now- just tired, and wanting to eat more than we are allowed to give her.

What else.... not much- 4 days until Christmas- we are pretty excited. We waited along time to celebrate a first Christmas with our baby- and now we will, and can't wait!

Merry Christmas everyone- have a safe and happy holiday!
