What a month

Well the title says it all- what haven't we done this month...
Danika's first thanksgiving went really well. We had dinner at her step- great grandmas house on the Sunday. And then at her Oma and Papa's house on the Monday. She had a blast showing off for everyone that was there. I can't wait until next year and she can try some Thanksgiving food.
We finally sold our house. We had to reduce the price after not getting enough traffic through the house- and 2 days after we did we sold it. We had an open house on the Saturday- with 3 people threw. Then On the Sunday we had 2 showings- so we headed to Strathmore to have dinner with Bretts parents. While we were there we got a call from his uncle (our realtor) asking us to meet him at his house- we had an offer. Turns out the offer was from someone who thought the open house was on Sunday and showed up- then called to see if they could go in without that much notice- which was fine since we weren't there. The other realtor didn't want to right the offer- because they wanted a January possession- but our realtor assured her that would be fine (our new house will be ready in January). So after going back and forth- and all the stress we sold it. And there were no conditions- just their financing- but they are first time buyers- and have been pre-approved- so that will be fine!

Mom came into Calgary for work, and came in for the weekend before. She stayed with us- we visited Ryan and Taylor. Then took the girls shopping on the Saturday. Mom was buying them all their Christmas presents- because she isn't sure if she will be here before then. Taylor got a big girl bed. And Danika got a jumper and her new car seat. She loves the jumper- it is great. And we just got the car seat in the car- hopefully she likes this one- she hated the other one, because she wants to sit up all the time now- fingers crossed. then on the Sunday, we went to have lunch with Grandpa and Marion, and then went to Moms hotel to go swimming. Danika loved the pool- she was upset when we took her out.

Danika hit a couple milestones this month- she found her toes- it was so cute. She lifted her head when she was on her tummy- while laughing too- which is great because she hates being on her tummy. She grabbed for a toy- her purple hippo that we bought her when she had to go back into the hospital. And she started eating cereal. She went through a growth spurt and couldn't eat enough- so we added cereal- she loves it. She opens her mouth when she sees the spoon coming, and gives a little whine when you take the spoon away to get more cereal!

Brett went to Salt Lake City with work this month too- it was only for 1 night- but it was hard, it is hard enough for me to stay at home alone- now with Danika it was worse. But we did it- and he had fun while he was there- got to see a new way of life for sure!

I think that is all that happened in October- I can't wait for November- Danika has a Doctors appointment and her shots on the 14th- so we will be able to see how much she weighs now- we are really curious!

Danika is going to her first Halloween party this Saturday- I will post pictures on our site as soon as I can!
